5 weeks or less....

Amanda officially has a countdown going. She is at 36 weeks and ready for this baby to get out of her. According to the doctor he will induce if she is a week late, so do the math, we have at most 5 weeks left until our little one joins us, hopefully less. She is getting more uncomfortable with back aches and those Brackston Hick's contractions, luckily Tim is a trooper and is very supportive.

Things are going well, today was Amanda's last day of work, Tim took Daddy boot camp class so he should be even more prepared and we got baby walkie talkies this weekend (most people know them as baby monitors, but to Tim they are baby walkie talkies)! I think we're ready...are you ever?

Other exciting news is that we got a video camera. We've been talking about it for a while and we finally just went and bought one the other night. It's a Sony HandyCam 108DVD. Tim has been playing with it, but we'll let you know how we like it. It's not a super fancy one and it's been easy to use so far. We just hope we are able to record some of our baby's first moments, and take it with us on trips, or wherever else.

She's a She

On Friday Amanda went in for her regular appointment to see the doctor. He measured her a little small and wanted to have her get an ultrasound to make sure the baby was ok. Well we took that as a perfect opportunity to double check that she is a she....
(You can sort of see the arrow pointing out the obvious area)

The baby measured at 4 lb 12 oz and is at 34 weeks for the gestational age, maybe she'll be early, (Amanda can only hope). So with 7 weeks left the two of them are doing great.

Also on Friday Tim got to go skiing at Breckenridge. With all of the snow they have been getting it was some of the best skiing he's seen in a while. He was knee deep in powder, but of course him and Derek forgot the camera.

Saturday Amanda and the baby got spoiled at a baby shower. It was a fun time and Amanda was glad to see some of her friends and the baby is excited for her cute and fun new stuff.

Here are the people that were able to make it

One of the gifts was a CSU cheerleading outfit from Kat, Go Rams!

Thank you to those that were able to come and for the wonderful words of advice and presents!

Happy New Year

We hope you are having a wonderful new year!! We spent the last night of 2007 hanging out with our friends Tyler and Shannon. We went to Chili's when Amanda got off work, played games, and rung in the new year with sparkling cider. Then we went to sleep, well Amanda slept and Tim stayed up watching a movie.

Amanda went to the doctor for her 32 week check up and is still growing. Everything seems to be going well and we are excited to see our little bundle of joy in approximately 8 weeks!!!

Last night we got to go to the Nuggets game, they were played the defending champions, The San Antonio Spurs. It was a fun early birthday present for Tim and his sister Karen from their parents.
Us smiling after a close finish and a Nuggets win!!

Tim's Uncle Mel excited over the victory!!! He's a true fan!

Merry Christmas!

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas!!! We had a great time with our families. After bouncing around to all of the many different houses we were beat, but glad that we live close and that we could see most of our family! We also enjoyed white Christmas, even with the drive to Fort Collins and Erie.

We made out pretty good and are enjoying all of the great gifts we received.

You can kind of see the white and snow outside at my sister's house. Tim got a Broncos Jersey and doesn't care that they did bad this year, he's not a fair weather fan. Also, you can kind of see Amanda's belly in this picture. The baby is doing good and really enjoys sticking her feet in mommy's ribs.

At the Miller's house on Christmas Eve we got to open some presents. Here is the Willow Tree figurine Amanda got from her brother-in-law Walter. It's of a mom, dad and a new baby.

CHristmas is coming!

We are so excited for the upcoming Christmas holiday! It is one of our favorite times of the year. One of Amanda's presents this year was to go see the Nutcracker! Tim kept it a surprise until we were drove up on Saturday night. We braved the snow and icy roads and made it to Fort Collins to see the show. It was the first time Amanda had seen the show, but is now one of her favorite Christmas classics!

We picked out an ornament of a little girl holding a nutcracker so every Christmas we will remember our fun trip to Fort Collins and the wonderful story of the Nutcracker.

Also exciting news is Amanda's growing belly. She is getting bigger and bigger these days and is 28 weeks along in this picture. Less than 3 months away!!!

Amanda's Belly

Less than 4 months away!!!! 16 weeks left!!!
What's crazy is that we have all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season quickly (Thanksgiving is in 2 weeks!!!) approaching followed by Tim and Amanda's birthdays in January and February that will make these last few months fly by.
Here is Amanda at 6 months (24 weeks).
She may not look huge yet, but she feels gigantic.
She had a doctors appointment yesterday and he said we were right on track. The heart beat was 144 bpm which is good and Amanda has gained 10 pounds so far.

We hope everyone is doing well and we are excited for all of our friends with little babies who are also on the way! Congratulations to all of them in case we never told you!

Our little one and our trip to Seattle

We got to go on a fun trip last weekend to Seattle. It was the first time there for both of us and we had a great time! Amanda's friend from high school lives there as well as Tim's aunt and uncle. Of course we did all of the touristy things. We went to Pike Place Market, Whidbey Island (on a ferry that we drove on to... another first), carved pumpkins, saw Snoqualmie Falls, and the Salmon Hatchery in Issaquah. We also went downtown and went to the top of the Space Needle, it was also cool because we went up at sunset time and watched the sun set over the Olympic Mountains. We got to go the famous Boehm's Chocolate factory and get a yummy treat. To end our vacation we went to see the beautiful Seattle Temple, which had it's own crazy little forest with lots of cool vegetation.
We had a great time and were so thankful that Angie, Aunt Patti, Uncle Brad, and Allison (Tim's cousin) were able to show us around and let us stay with them. If you ever want to visit somewhere try Seattle in the fall. Of course make sure you bring the nice weather with you. We did and it brought bright blue skies while we were there and cold yucky weather to Denver...ha ha. Apparently it was the nicest weekend they had had in months.

Pictures will come soon, the blogger was unable to load them.

After we came home from our trip we had a doctor's appointment. After much work we had a scheduled ultrasound. We got to see our little one moving around for the first time. We saw all of her little body parts and they measured her as well. In the end, the technician determined that it was in fact a little girl, a very modest one might we add. The whole time she wouldn't open up her legs to make sure she didn't have any boy parts. So we are going with a 99% chance that she is a she. Perhaps we will have another ultrasound to make it 100% later. Also our due date was reconfirmed and it is now officially on Leap Day (February 29th, 2008 for those of you who don't know when that is, because we have been asked that question.)

We hope everyone is doing well and we are always checking everyone else's blog. FYI Adam's family we finally made it to TGIFriday's. Cinnabon Cheesecake is to die for, so good!!!!

Let's see who really reads this...

The reason for this title is that I have an announcement to make, one that many people have been waiting for. Earlier this summer Amanda and I found out that she was pregnant. We have slowly been telling people because we wanted to make sure everything was ok. Now she is almost four months along and we are really excited. The baby is due near the end of February, we are shooting for Leap Day. We do not know the sex of the baby yet but should find out within the next couple of months. People have been asking me if I am nervous and I really don't think it has all set in yet. Amanda is not really showing yet so it still seems a bit surreal. I am sure as time progresses everything will set in and the nervousness will begin. So far Amanda's pregnancy has been good. She has felt sick quite a bit, but never actually got sick. This has been by far the best news of the summer. My little sister just had her first baby on Tuesday so that has really helped us both become a little more excited, and nervous, to have our own.

As for the rest of the summer, we have had a very busy one. It seems like we enjoy trying to pack our weekends full a month in advance. We have had the opportunity to go camping twice, go to a couple Rockies games, see a Broncos preseason game, and I have actually been able to go golfing twice. We have had an eventful summer and it has been great getting a chance to see and hang out with a lot of our new and old friends.

Although this summer has been great I am very excited for the fall and winter. I am getting ready to buy my ski pass and football season has started! Needless to say I was severely disappointed at the result of the CSU / CU game. I was so depressed after the game I needed two episodes of The Office just to get me to a functional level. The one bright side to the game was how well CSU played. I feel that if they can play every team like they did CU they will have a great season and may even have a chance at winning the MWC. We'll see what happens against Cal and TCU. I am so glad Kyle Bell returned, now they can actually run the ball. Moving onto the Pros, I think the Broncos also have a great chance to go far this year. In the offseason they added, in my opinion, two keys players: a Terrel Davis style running back and a Shannon Sharp style receiving tight end. These two pieces will help complete the offense. Now if they can sign Simeon Rice they will help sure up their defense. The run defense is the one area I am worried about, hopefully they can fix that problem.

That is all for now I guess. Needless to say life is going well for us now and we have some very exiting times coming up. I look forward to hearing from everyone and hopefully seeing you soon.

What's New

I am not used to posting so close together so I really don't know what to talk about. I am still working at my job and have finally been assigned a project. I will work on designing a natural gas plant for the next few weeks for a location in the Middle East. My company designs a lot of these plants to make natural gas usable. It has been very interesting learning about this process. I never knew there were so many factors that went into refining natural gas and so many different situations to consider. I am looking forward to getting the chance to work with a team and accomplishing a task that hopefully, in a few years will result in a plant that produces billions of cubic feet of natural gas for people in the Middle East.

Enough about work now what is going on in m life. Since I have been working I have not done a whole lot. Once I come home from work I do a few things around the house and then usually watch a movie on T.V. and a Rockies game. I think this is because for the past three years every day when I would come home there would be some assignment, reading or project I would need to work on. Now I can come and forget about work and it is okay. I like that feeling and hopefully I will start doing something more productive with my time like reading, or some other type of hobby. I need to find one now that I am no longer in school. I have considered taking up skeet shooting. The few times I have done it have been a blast, we will see. If anyone has a suggestion for a hobby I am wide open right now.

Amanda has still been commuting to Fort Collins and other than a lot of stupid drivers on I-25 she doesn't seem to mind the commute much. We were able to help out at a 5K that benefited Parkinson's and Breast Cancer, that was organized through her work. I was very successful and everyone who was there really seemed to enjoy themselves.

Over the 4th we went and saw Transformers and then went to a BBQ at one of my friend's from high school house. The movie was awesome and if it wasn't so expensive I would see it again. I really thought it very well done. It had a few corny parts but all in all it was amazing, I really hope a second is coming soon. The BBQ was fun and my friend has a house that overlooks all of the city from Westminster. We were able to see all the firework displays at Invesco, Coors Field, Littleton and many other city displays. We could also see lots of personal displays that were going on. It was great except you couldn't hear the explosions or smell the sulfur which is two of my favorite things about fireworks.

We were also able to go to Water World which was fun because it has been so hot here. It wasn't too crowded in the morning so we got to all the cool rides first, and then the lines formed and we had to wait a little while. The lines weren't too bad at all during the day and we had a blast. The only down side was the blazing hot sidewalk that scorched my feet. I wish they could do something about that.

Well that is all of my random thoughts for the time being but if anyone has any hobby suggestions let me know because I am definitely looking for one.

The Official Update

I now have a renewed desire to be a better blogger so we will see how this works. Last night I decided to do a random post to let everyone know I still exist, this is my official update as to what is going on our lives right now.

I finally finished school and graduated from CSU with my B.S. in Chemical Engineering last month. I didn't think it I would feel that much different after graduating, but it has really instilled a sense of accomplishment in me and I am glad I was able to stick through and finish. It is not something everyone does and as I come to find out a college degree is something a lot of people do not have. Please do not look at my writing in this blog as a reflection of my degree, it is in engineering not writing.

After graduation I decided to take some time off before entering the "real" world and just relax, sort of. In my time off Amanda and I had to pack our apartment and move to the Northglenn area, because of my job. Although packing and moving kept me busy it was nice not having any homework or other school things to worry about. A few days after our move Amanda and I headed off to Mexico.

This was our graduation present to each other. She graduated last May and since I just did we needed to take a trip to celebrate and relax!! We vacationed in Tulum, Mexico, which is about 1.5 hours south of Cancun. I had never been to Mexico and it was amazing. The water was so clear and the sand was so white, it looked just like the movies. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, which I liked because I could eat anytime and not have to pay extra for it. It was a Dreams Resort and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice quite vacation. It seemed like there were a lot of couples and families, not a whole lot of places to party though if that is your purpose in Mexico.

Our plan in choosing Mexico was we wanted to go some place where we could do nothing an be okay with it. However, it is our nature to stay busy so even when we just wanted to relax, we had to do something. Amanda was good at just reading a book but I could not sit still very long, so I developed a liking to swimming in the ocean, and especially snorkeling. Also while in Mexico we rode some bikes from our hotel, to the Tulum ruins and got a chance see them, and swim at the amazing beach there. Also at our hotel we had a chance to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2 on the beach in between palm trees one night. It was great being on the Caribbean and feeling the wind and hearing the ocean while watching a movie. It was like natural surround sound!!

We also had a chance to go on a Mayan Adventure. There we were able to see the Mayan ruins at Coba and learn a little about the culture there. We also got a chance to climb one of the tallest Mayan temples, that you are allowed, and got to see great views of the jungle. During this adventure we also were able to walk through the jungle, swim in a cenote (under ground river, very cold but refreshing), rappel down a cliff, and zip-line through the jungle. It was a very busy day but very fun!! The rest of the time in Mexico was spent on the beach, or doing shopping. It was a great trip and we can't wait to go back!!

After returning from Mexico we came back to reality and began working. Amanda still holds her job as an assistant wellness coordinator at a corporate gym in Fort Collins. She has a good work schedule that makes the commute from Northglenn bearable. I am working for Washington Group International in the tech center, in the industrial process department. For anyone who knows Denver this too is quite the commute from Northglenn, but I found the bus system works very well for me. I can hop a bus and sleep all the way to work, I could never do that driving. It only takes me about an hour so it is not too bad.

So far at Washington Group I have been doing random projects here and there and lots of training. I have yet to receive an actual project but that will come with time. I like it there and the people are good to work with.

So far living in Denver isn't too bad. Fort Collins is still my favorite place to live but it is nice to be able to catch a Rockies game whenever I want instead of having to make a special trip. Look to see more frequent posts and here are some more pictures of our last few months.

I am Still Alive!!

For all you you who might read this and I haven't seen since Mike and Carly's wedding, I am still alive and very busy, but you also know my blogging habits and know that my post are not frequent at all.

Believe it or not I am finally in my last semester and am looking forward to graduation even more everyday. Lucky for me I have already got a job lined up and now a place to live. I will be working at Washington Group International, which is an engineering consulting company. I will be working in their industrial process division, meaning I will get to work a lot with oil and gas applications. Amanda and I will be living in Northglen for our first year in Denver. She is still going to be working in Fort Collins a few days a week so it will be an easier commute for her and I am going to ride the bus to work.

I just finished Spring Break during which I spent 4 days working, 2 skiing and one relaxing. The two skiing were a ton of fun and hot, but good spring skiing. The four working were spent catching up on homework and working on my senior design project.

I am very excited about the topic of my design project. My group was assigned the task of designing a 100 million gal per year biodiesel plant. This in and of itself is something that has already been done...the new part it that instead of using plant oils to make the biodiesel we are using algae as a feedstock and making the biodiesel. The other bonus is that the the algae would use carbon dioxide from power plant to grow therefore reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

This on paper sounds like a brilliant idea in reducing our dependence on foreign oil and stopping global warming but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to make it a feasible solution to those problems. I have really like working with biofeuls and I hope that with the new push for renewable energy by the governor that maybe some more biofeul projects will come my way.

Well it is about that time to get going and get ready for another busy day of school, senior design and now FE Reviews. Hope everyone is doing well and maybe I'll update soon.

Wow its been a while!!

I am almost surprised I still remember my user name and password to post here. I wasn't sure as I was signing in to post. Well it has been so long since I have posted last I am not going to even try to catch everyone up on what I have done. That is if anyone actually reads or even checks this blog anymore.

I have been extremely busy with school for the past month. Since the first of October I have been behind in all of my work, having late nights studying regularly and barely getting everything done. I was told that once I made it through my Junior year things would get better but I would say I have been going through my longest semester to date. Hopefully next semester is better. At least my class schedule will be nice with Tuesdays and Thursdays off and I will be done with class by noon two other days.

As for other things going on I am very busy as an officer in our Tau Beta Pi chapter on campus. I was told it would not be much work but they were wrong. I also am working with the Boy Scout Troop at my church so that is keeping me busy. Luckily that is a very fun busy with camp outs and stuff like that.

For Halloween Amanda and I were old school skiers and that made me so excited for this upcoming season. I purchased new skis this year from Sniagrab and I can't wait to use them. I am sure most of you remember the Iron Maidens. They were replaced a couple years ago but with "Purple Thunder" which was not much of an upgrade. This season I will be skiing at Copper as I only bought a four pass because I don't think I'll get up there much this year. I am definitely counting down the days to my first ski day!!

I look forward to seeing y'all at Mike and Carly's wedding and maybe before. If anyone comes up to the Fort let me know and we'll get together.

I am a Terrible Person

I have loved the idea of having a blog ever since Dunham first suggested it. I liked it because, as the title implies, I am a terrible person and am horrible at keeping in touch with people. So now I can't even write in a blog to keep people up to date on the happenings in my life. Hopefully I can change my ways and be better at keeping people up to date.

Well enough of that, on to my life. I now have only two weeks left in my internship and I have really enjoyed it. I am revised the emission factors for the company I work for so they can estimate how many harmful chemicals are being released into the air and then what they can do about it. I also had a little bit of an odd job as I was asked top design a new wash down area to rinse big filter and such. I spent a couple of weeks trying to learn a little bit about structural steel and the different materials that we could use for this structure. I almost called up Mike for some suggestions but I think I got it figured it out. I guess I won't be around if it falls.

Since my last posting I have done quite a bit of mountain biking with Amanda. We have been all over the state trying out various trails and me trying to not kill myself. We went up to winter Park and rode with the Fat Tire Classic. It was a lot of fun but really tough. If anyone wants to do it next year I hear there are lots of free samples after the ride. We spent a weekend in Wyoming camping. I know it sounds weird but there are some pretty nice places to camp in off of I-80. I spent half a week at summer camp with the scouts from church which was a lot of fun. Other than that than not much has been going on, just staying busy with day to day activities.

I don't know I put this in any other postings but after I knew I would be commuting to Longmont every day we purchased a Chevy Malibu which has proved to be a good car for us. It is a 2004 and had low miles, now that I am commuting I have put close to 4000 miles on it this summer!!

Well I hope everyone is doing well and if y'all are ever up in Fort Collins let me know and we can hang out. Hopefully there will be another posting soon.

Not quite a month

I was almost a regular blogger but alas I have returned to my once a month posts. I don't feel so bad because the "regulars" have slacked off as well.

Since my last post I have moved from my last place to the married student housing. Luckily Amanda and I do not have to much stuff and it turned out to be a pretty simple move. I have also started my internship at a chemical manufactturing company out of Mead. I really enjoy the job so far I just have to drive to their office in Longmont everyday which can become tedious. It is a small company of only about 150 employees. Right now they are expanding to two new sites in Longmont and Hudson (its on the eastern plains) and so a majority of my projects have dealt with that. We inherited the site in Longmont so I had to go around and see its production capabilities and what was needed to do to start production. I also worked on a layout of the new facility. My biggest project has been to work on environmental emission factors which estimate how many bad chemical are going into the atmosphere and if it is within our permit. The past two days I have been unloading trucks coming into Hudson with our new equipment. You know it is a small company when the engineers are unloading the semis.

That is enough with the work stuff. A few weeks ago Amanda introduced me to the great sport of mountain biking. Before then I have ridden bikes and some off-road but never on hiking paths and through streams and stuff. Needless to say I had a blast and as long as I can afford it I plan on continuing the sport. We also had the great opportunity of going the Rockies/Dodgers game where the Rockies actually won. We went last Friday and had great seats. Amanda got a little money for graduation so she decided ot spend some of it on a Rockies game. We were able to sit one row behind the cameras next to the dugout on the 1st base side!! I have never been that close. It was as close as watching the game on TV but getting balls hit your direction. We found the tickets on a market place on the Rockies' website where season ticket holders can sell their tickets they are not using at face value. So we sat in $45 seats for $35 after the service charge. (Note there is a 30% service charge so the tickets were only $27)

Well that is all for now I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to see y'all soon.

MWC Champion

I was hoping this title would get some attention. The past couple of weeks have been very busy and the next couple will be hectic as well, but in between the madness that is currently my life I was able to take about a week off and spend it in Utah. Why would I go to Utah where it has been blazing hot you ask, and what is there to do there? First of all being Mormon gives me a few more thing that interest me in the state that deal with the church's history and operation. The main reason for me driving across Wyoming was to watch Amanda compete in the MWC Track and Field Championships. It was an extremely hot two days sitting on the bleachers but well worth it. The first day of competition she competed in the Long Jump and did alright but wasn't able to make the finals. On Saturday she had an amazing day!!! She jumped a personal best and school tying record 41' 6". This was able to give her the longest jump of the day and she walked away with the title of MWC Champion. This was the first time anyone (boy or girl) has won a championship from CSU in the triple jump. The only downside to the day was the girls team took second finishing behind BYU.

Other than this lull in the action, I have been very busy finishing up my finals and school for the summer. I have been preparing for my internship in Longmont. Amanda also graduated this past weekend but was not able to walk because she was in Utah. We also bought a new car, I figured with a commute to Longmont an SUV would kill me in the pocketbook so we purchased a Chevy Malibu which gets much better gas mileage. We are also moving in about 2 days so the house is a mess and packing is going non-stop.

I hope all is well with everyone who still reads this I hopefully in a few weeks we can actually hang out.

New News

Well a lot has been going on in my life and some changes are coming soon. No Amanda and I are not having a kid. First off I have accepted an offer from Boulder Scientific to work as an intern for them this summer. I will be dealing with an expansion project in building a new plant for them in Hudson, CO. I am very excited about that and think I should get some great experience working there. It is a smaller company based in Mead, CO so I will be doing a little bit of commuting but not too bad.

The other bit of news is that Amanda and I will be moving later this month. We decided to move into the student housing for a year while I finish. It should save us a lot of money plus we have a lot of friends living there as well. I will post a new address on the friends website for anyone who will need it.

Amanda will also be graduating on the 12th of May but will not be walking as she will be in Provo competing in the MWC Championship. She is excited about that and has no idea what she wants to do after the summer so that should be a fun adventure for the both of us. I hope all is well with everyone who still checks this and I look forward to seeing any of you soon.

This one has been coming for a long time.

Okay so I hope people are still checking on this blog. I don't blame you if you have given up on me since I haven't written for close to three months. As I hope you can figure out I have been very busy for the past few months, both because of school and my own doing.

Here are the highlights of my life for the past few months. School has been very good for me this past semester. I will admit I thought it would be a terrible semester but I have been able to make it through pretty well. I have had a lab where I have had to write three reports with the smallest one being about 20 pages. My other classes seem to be going very well. On two of my tests I have done very well so I am very happy about that. Other than that I have also begun my honors thesis project. I will be doing research in acid mine drainage. I will be looking at one of the processes to treat it a little more closley that it has been in the past. Iwill not bore you with all the details.

Amanda has been doing very well over the past few months. She is doing an internship at an elementary school working with kids and helping them with their health and wellness. She has also been doing track since January. She did well in the indoor season. She never hit the marks she did last year but she did well enough to win a number of meets and take thrid in the confrence. The highlight had to have been the girls team winning the Mountain West Championship by one point over BYU. This was the first time BYU has lost since the MWC began. Although no one knows it at CSU, there is one team that has won a championship, more than the football and basketball teams can say. She is now far into the outdoor season and doing much better than she has been doing. She has qualified for the regional meet and hopes to go to nationals. She will also be graduating in May.

Although I have been busy with school and all I have had some fun. I have been able to go skiing a number of times. The best had to have been over spring break where we went to Copper for two days and stayed in Silverthorne. It was so nice not to have to drive home after skiing. The first day skiing it snowed all day so the snow was good but conditions were not ideal. The next days was great. The weather was beautiful and the snow awesome. The highlight of the day was going up yhe snow cat and skiing Tucker Mountain. It was a long hike but the snow was amazing. Probably my best day skiing all year. Other than skiing I also made a quick trip to Albequrque NM to watch the indoor confrence track meet and see the girls win the championship.

Similar to Dunham I have been doing job searching for the summer. Unfourtunatly I do not have people banging down the door to hire me but it has been a good search. After attending numerous job fair I have been contacted by two companies. I have had two phone interviews with Amgen, a pharmecuetical company in Boulder. I have an on campus interview next week. I also applied for an internship with Boulder Scientific in Mead and I had an interview with them last week. I have already recieved an offer from them so now I will see if I get anything from Amgen and then make a decision.

I am sorry this has been long and random but hopefully it helps update everyone on what I am doing. I will try and post more often and I will keep everyone up to date on my job search.

Spring Semester.....begin

So today is the second day of the semester and things are looking pretty good for me. I know that the classes coming up will be tough and require a lot of time but I am looking forward to them. I have classes in heat transfer, reactor design and circuits. I have a lab as well. I really hope I can learn a great deal in them. Along with doing well in school this semester I also have the goal to find an internship for this coming summer. I have spent a great deal of time working on my resume and hopefully it will pay off.

I had a great break. As my previous posting mentioned I traveled to San Antonio for my brother-in-law's wedding. Since then I also traveled to Jackson, WY to do some skiing and attended my sister's wedding.

While I was in WY I skied at the big resort in Jackson and loved every minute of it!! The week peceeding they received 3 feet of new snow which made for great conditions. The morning was warm followed by a snow storm in the afternoon. The one thing that surprised me about the resort was 1st there were no lines like the CO resorts, the most I waited had to of been 5 minutes and this was on a Saturday!! Also I had no idea how step the resort was. On some of our blue warm up runs were steeper than some black runs in CO. I have a good story about sliding down head first for quite a while down the slope. If anyone knows about Jackson Hole they have a tram that takes you to the top of the resort. We didn't get up there until after lunch so there was a lot of blowing snow and it was really hard to see on the top of the mountain but it was a blast coming down. If anyone has a chance to ski there do it!!

My sister's wedding we also great, there was only one drawback, its timing. It took place right in the middle of the Broncos first playoff game. I was very disappointed to not be able to see the game but thank goodness for TiVo and no one saying anything at the wedding I was able to see the game minus the commercials at 10:45 that evening and celebrate the Broncos victory. I have had a great break and am ready to get back to school.
